#MoveThrive5 Summer Conference, the premier health and physical education event hosted by Kentucky SHAPE!
When: June 25-27, 2025
Where: Tates Creek High School - Lexington, KY

Thursday June 26, 2025 9:00am - 10:00am EDT
In this session, we will demonstrate how reflective practices serve as a powerful tool for both student and teacher growth, empowering both to enhance their physical education experience. Using striking skills (specifically with hands and paddles) as our vehicle, we’ll showcase how reflection can be applied to develop movement skills and foster self-awareness. We’ll discuss the importance of reflective practices for both teachers and students and share simple, effective strategies to incorporate reflection into your lessons. Join us to learn how reflective practices can transform your teaching and empower students on their physical literacy journey.
