Yoga For the Soul is a holistic practice blending yoga postures, mindful breathing, and meditation to nurture mind, body, and spirit. It offers a peaceful space for self-discovery, healing, and inner balance, helping participants achieve physical flexibility, and mental clarity through a trauma informed lens.

The session will start with individual racket skills, then move to serves with a partner. Participants will be able to begin earning cards by completing challenges. The activities will then move to the net for practicing dinks (no volley in the kitchen), and small rallies. The culminating activity will be a new game called “Cinco”. This is an UNO inspired fame, which switches up the game play based upon the card drawn. We are really excited for one special card, and hope it gets drawn so all participants can celebrate with a Kentucky derby inspired Victory Lap. Show up and join in the fun!

Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools (UCS) is an initiative aimed at improving social inclusion in the school environment. Using our expertise in conducting sports for individuals with intellectual disabilities (ID), Special Olympics creates unified sport and fitness opportunities for students of all abilities. UCS is aimed at bringing together students with and without ID to participate in a wide variety of activities to improve overall student wellbeing. Session attendees will learn tips to conduct quality and sustainable Unified Sports and Fitness, hear how Unified and Adaptive sport differ and see a demonstration our fastest growing Unified sport - Bocce. We will have Free Resources and t-shirt giveaways!

This session is designed to inspire you and prepare you to fully implement BIY actvities and resources with students or adults in a school, health class or physical education setting. Participants will be led through activities that help build school connection, educate on emotions, inclusiveness, and promote leadership. This experience is interactive and fun! All of the resources and activities are completely free through Varsity Brands and Believe In You. They can be modified to fit any grade level and teaching environment
