Meaningful PE has just begun its journey throughout all levels of PE classrooms. This pedagogy challenges teachers to look through the lens of their students when designing lessons and assessments. There are 6 components to this framework that can be implemented into the curriculum. This pedagogy also fits into any standard set to assist in creating assessments to glean what the students know. This session will take teachers through the process of what meaningful PE is, how to implement it, and the roles of each stakeholder involved. Attendees will leave with tangible resources ready to implement into their classrooms.

Physical education can be a powerful vehicle for interdisciplinary learning. This session presents a comprehensive approach to integrating PE with academic content areas, fostering a cohesive and engaging learning environment that supports the whole child. By reframing traditional perspectives, we demonstrate how movement-based activities can seamlessly align with math, literacy, science, and social studies, enriching both physical and cognitive development.
